Inner City Transformation ProgrammeGuided by the Mayoral Priority on the Inner City and the Inner City Roadmap the JDA will focus on strengthening the position of the inner city as a critical business and residential node and the primary gateway to transit networks for the city; financial services networks for the City Region; and cross-border trade networks for the African continent. The JDA will continue to implement a phased plan to strengthen inner city precincts, address movement challenges, and improve the quality of the built environment across the inner city. The activities include managing the development of the Johannesburg inner city through capital investments in selected precincts, by overseeing integrated investments by other departments and entities, and by facilitating partnership initiatives.
