The Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA) is sad to announce the passing of its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Christo Botes on Tuesday, 30 April 2019.
Mr. Botes joined the JDA in 2014 as Executive Manager responsible for development facilitation and became CEO of the agency in 2018.
Christo will be remembered for his passion and dedication to improving the lives of ordinary citizens through area-based development and urban renewal.
The JDA’s Board Chairperson Mongezi Ntanga said, “I am glad I was able to meet Christo and I was moved by his humility and commitment to the JDA’s work. We are deeply saddened by this loss.”
A memorial service for Christo will be held on Saturday, 4 May 2019 at Spark Gallery, 10 Louis Road, Orchards, Johannesburg from 15:00.
