The residents of Ebony Park and surrounding neighborhoods will soon access basic medical health services at the now newly constructed Ebony Park Clinic offering extended basic medical service hours. The Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA) on behalf of the City of Johannesburg and through the appointed contractor Zidlaphi Kgomo & Associates and (21) SMME’s with the utilisation of (108) local labourers will complete with the construction of the clinic in July 2018.

The overall aim of the project is to improve and expand patient access to medical services and improve; their health, life style, economic growth and provide jobs for the community in Ebony Park and surroundings neibourhoods.

The 1500sqm clinic consists of an emergency wing, TB and ARV Departments, waiting area and ante-natal care unit. The scope of work also included the demolition of an existing clinic, installation of a fence and provision of parking.

The overall cost for the construction of upgrading Ebony Park Clinic project is R45m, said Botes the JDA CEO.
