Dear Community Members; Residents and Road Users

We write to advice that the Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA) has appointed MAC P Construction (PTY) Ltd to undertake an emergency storm water construction works within Louis Botha Corridor, Orange Groove and Norwood.

The above-mentioned project will taking place at No. 1 5th Street, 5th Avenue and Patterson Park (Pikitup entrance), which falls within your area of residence. The project is expected to commence May 2018 till February 2019 at a cost of R 41.3 million.

The activities on the project will include erection and establishment of construction boundary structures, removal of existing fence and relocation of property landscape, excavations, demolitions of collapsed storm water infrastructure and associated stormwater pipes, reinstatement of storm water infrastructure and landscape.

We would like to notify you that during the construction period traffic flow shall be affected as sections of the roads linking to this area shall be partially closed or completely diverted in order for the works to take place effectively in a safe environment. However access to properties within the road shall be permitted.
