THE Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA) has recently appointed Indigo Marketing and HMC Seswa Corporate Communications to handle the marketing and communications for the Jo’burg Halala Awards set to be held in June 2011.

Indigo Marketing is a B2B agency specialising in brand strategy, marketing, design and event marketing while HMC Seswa is one of South Africa’s longest serving public relations consultancies with a strong 29 year track record in the media relations and communications industry.

“We hope that through our strategic marketing and communications plan, we will be able to help JDA showcase individuals and companies that are contributing positively to the regeneration of the inner city.” says the Managing Director of Indigo Marketing, Janice Scheckter.

The JDA Halala awards were launched in 2008 recognising and honouring people, investors, projects and places that strive to improve the quality of life in the inner city of Johannesburg.

JDA is an agency of the City of Johannesburg which stimulates and supports area-based economic development initiatives throughout the Johannesburg metropolitan area in support of the Growth and Development Strategy. JDA also manages large scale construction projects on behalf of the City of Johannesburg.
