{"id":1893,"date":"2014-09-26T08:43:55","date_gmt":"2014-09-26T08:43:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/173.254.98.142\/?p=1893"},"modified":"2018-09-19T12:39:15","modified_gmt":"2018-09-19T12:39:15","slug":"notice-of-a-public-meeting-about-the-sandton-cbd-public-transport-plans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jda.org.za\/archived\/notice-of-a-public-meeting-about-the-sandton-cbd-public-transport-plans\/","title":{"rendered":"Notice Of A Public Meeting About The Sandton CBD Public Transport Plans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The City of Johannesburg is implementing the Rea Vaya BRT between the inner city of Johannesburg, Alexandra and Sandton as part of a broader process of transforming public transport, walking and cycling in the City.<\/p>\n<p>Members of the public are invited to a public meeting to get information about and give feedback on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proposed integrated public transport, walking and cycling plan for Sandton which has been developed by the Sandton Central CID in consultation with key stakeholders including the City of Johannesburg;<\/li>\n<li>Rea Vaya BRT construction progress;<\/li>\n<li>Proposed public transport priority from Sandton to Randburg route along Sandton Drive, William Nicol and Republic Road;<\/li>\n<li>Proposal for Sandton to be the host site for a month long International Eco-Mobility Festival in October 2015.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The City of Johannesburg will explain these transport plans as well as planning and implementation timelines.
