{"id":16825,"date":"2024-04-16T21:11:38","date_gmt":"2024-04-16T19:11:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.jda.org.za\/archived\/?p=16825"},"modified":"2024-05-16T15:37:24","modified_gmt":"2024-05-16T13:37:24","slug":"senior-project-manager-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jda.org.za\/archived\/senior-project-manager-3\/","title":{"rendered":"SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is a permanent employment contract.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SALARY PACKAGE<\/strong>: R1 051 876.00 &#8211; R1 577 814.00 TCTC (including benefits)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose of the Position:<\/strong> Reporting to the Executive Manager: Project Implementation, the role will lead and direct the implementation of all the JDA\u2019s development projects, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required standards.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key performance areas:<\/strong> \u2022 Ensure that all development projects are designed and implemented on time, within budget and that all best practice development principles are applied to all JDA developments \u2022 Provide leadership and management support to the project implementation teams \u2022 Lead and manage client stakeholder relationships \u2022 Lead, implement and monitor a performance management system for the project implementation teams \u2022 Ensure that development projects are sufficiently resourced, both internally and externally \u2022 Lead contract management and dispute resolution \u2022 Ensure that Construction Regulations and Health and Safety requirements are uniformly and consistently applied to all development projects \u2022 Implement an enterprise development programme for SMMEs in projects \u2022 Ensure prudent financial management of all projects \u2022 Appoint, develop and evaluate staff and take corrective actions to address under\/non-performance \u2022 Coach, mentor and guide staff to ensure that approved audit objectives are met and that adequate coverage is achieved \u2022 Identify and manage risks in all area of responsibility.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Education and experience required:<\/strong> \u2022 Minimum Bachelor\u2019s degree or diploma in a Built Environment as Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent \u2022 Professional Construction Project Management registration with a professional body \u2022 Professional Engineering Technologist or Professional Engineer \u2022 Minimum 7-10 years\u2019 experience with management of diverse development and construction projects preferably in an urban setting \u2022 Extensive experience in planning and management of infrastructure, and a record of success at senior level in achievement of operations and delivery of programmes with and through partners in public, private and community sectors \u2022 Sound knowledge of financial management of infrastructure programmes \u2022 Sound knowledge of best practices within the construction industry, legal environment including supply chain management, CIDB, Construction Contract regulations Best Practices \u2022 Sound knowledge of the MFMA \u2022 Knowledge of Corporate Governance \u2022 Advanced MS Office and Report writing skills \u2022 Valid driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n<p>Please email a detailed CV in MS Word format to: <a href=\"mailto:spm2024@jda.org.za\">spm2024@jda.org.za<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Closing date: 26 April 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Correspondence will be with short-listed candidates only.
