{"id":14688,"date":"2022-09-23T14:27:24","date_gmt":"2022-09-23T14:27:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.jda.org.za\/archived\/?p=14688"},"modified":"2022-09-23T14:27:24","modified_gmt":"2022-09-23T14:27:24","slug":"senior-manager-internal-auditor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jda.org.za\/archived\/senior-manager-internal-auditor\/","title":{"rendered":"SENIOR MANAGER: INTERNAL AUDITOR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Reporting to the Chief Audit Executive, the role will maintain and implement<br \/>\naudit measures to minimize risk while ensuring maximum compliance with applicable legislation and<br \/>\nregulations within the Johannesburg Development Agency.<\/p>\n<p>KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: The role will be responsible for providing input in developing an Annual<br \/>\nAudit Plan and three-Year Strategic Plan for financial, operational and ICT audits \u2022 Provide supervision on the<br \/>\n100% Completion of the approved Internal Audit Plan. Assurance: Provide input and ensure that planning<br \/>\nfor Audits is quarterly and in advance and resources are correctly allocated based on skills required and<br \/>\navailability. \u2022Audit Planning: Manage the Implementation of the annual audit plan per project as approved<br \/>\nby the Audit Committee, encompassing resource planning, project scoping, budget and time planning, and<br \/>\nstakeholder engagement. \u2022Audit Execution: Lead the execution of audits in line with regulations, audit scope<br \/>\nand objectives \u2022 Special requests\/Ad hoc audits: Perform execution of ad hoc audits as may be requested by<br \/>\nCEO\/Audit Committee\/Board. \u2022 Audit Reporting: Prepare draft audit reports. Communication of final internal<br \/>\nreports to management. \u2022 Probity Audit: Conduct Probity Reviews on the Procurement process. \u2022 Quality<br \/>\nAssurance: Management of Compliance with Audit Methodology and Standards. Review all audit working<br \/>\npapers to ensure complete and adequate execution of the audit procedures. \u2022 Manage the monitoring of<br \/>\ncompliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices,<br \/>\nand documentation. People Management and Operational Leadership. Effective Contract Management of the<br \/>\ninternal audit service providers.\u2022 Engage the EXCO, Sub-Committee Members and Chairpersons, and AGSA<br \/>\nManagement on internal control, risk management and governance processes.<\/p>\n<p>Education and experience required:<br \/>\n\u00b7 Minimum Degree in Internal Auditing\/Finance\/Accounting or equivalent (NQF Level 7)<br \/>\n\u00b7 Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors Minimum 7-10 years\u2019 experience in the Internal Audit environment,<br \/>\nof which three years must be at the Managerial level managing audit deliverables.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Completed\/studying towards CIA or CISA will be an added advantage<br \/>\n\u00b7 Qualification in management studies will be an added advantage<br \/>\n\u00b7 Extensive knowledge of PFMA, MFMA, MSA, Treasury Regulations and IIA standards<br \/>\n\u00b7 Extensive knowledge of internal audit methodologies, tools, systems, and procedures<br \/>\n\u00b7 Extensive knowledge of Risk Management Framework and King Code<br \/>\n\u00b7 Advanced MS Word and EXCEL skills<br \/>\n\u00b7 Valid driver\u2019s license<\/p>\n<p>Please email a detailed CV in MS Word format to: <a href=\"mailto:seniormanager1@jda.org.za\">seniormanager1@jda.org.za<\/a><\/p>\n<p>CLOSING DATE: 09 OCTOBER 2022<\/p>\n<p>Correspondence will be with short-listed candidates only; should you not hear from us within 30 days of the closing date, please consider your application unsuccessful.
