Position:<\/strong> Manager: Assets & Register<\/p>\n Appointment requirements:<\/strong> \u2022 BCom degree in Accounting\/Finance or a relevant 3-year qualification (NQF level 7) \u2022 Accounting understanding or experience in finance-related field \u2022 Qualification and experience in terms of minimum competencies prescribed by National Treasury \u2022 3 years\u2019 experience in asset management or finance environment \u2022 5 to 7 years\u2019 relevant work experience in asset management or finance field \u2022 Understanding of the asset capitalisation process and risks involved \u2022 Caseware experience or understanding will be an added advantage \u2022 Understanding of the application of the MFMA, National Treasury Regulations and legislative framework that governs Local Government \u2022 Good communication, analytical and problem-solving, report-writing and presentation skills \u2022 Computer literate \u2022 Valid driver\u2019s licence.<\/p>\n Primary function:<\/strong> \u2022 Plan, design and manage the application of business processes and asset management policy to ensure that assets are accounted for accurately and completely \u2022 Monitor compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (GRAP) and MFMA in accounting for assets by the Core departments.<\/p>\n Closing Date:<\/strong> 11 June 2019<\/p>\n <\/i>
