The exhibition was staged by the Gauteng provincial department at Walter Sisulu Square in Kliptown, Soweto, for residents to learn more about services - transportation, sports, science and economic development - the provincial government offers.

The exhibition ran from Tuesday 25 March to Thursday 27 March as part of the Gauteng Vision 2055 campaign. The campaign encourages Gautengers to share their vision for the province and aims to "build good will, national unity and a sense of hope among the province's people".

Nomalizo Xabana, Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA) senior marketing specialist, expressed delight at the number of people visiting the stand and said the exhibition was a "unique chance for JDA to inform the public on what we are all about". The JDA exhibit aimed to inform visitors about its latest projects and the organisation's relevance to the City of Joburg.

Sihle Zwane, an exhibition attendee, said the exhibition was eye-opening in that it exposed him to many opportunities and added, "They are doing a great job by exposing us to such opportunities."

The exhibition attracted a number of government departments, companies and entities, including the Innovation Hub, West Rand Municipality, Rea Vaya, the Department of Sports and Recreation, and construction concern Basil Read, to showcase their services.
