THE nomination process for all categories in the 2011 Halala Joburg Awards starts with you filling in the following form.

This will require you to identify your nominee of choice, indicate the Halala Joburg category you believe is the most appropriate for the person or project, provide the location of and contact details for the person or project and a short motivation as to why you feel they should be considered.

This is the first step; once you have completed this form our support team will forward a full application form, either online or via fax, to the contact person you have listed here.

Nomination Trigger Forms and all category Application Forms will also be available from the JDA.

A second phase, which will require support materials and a signed commitment to the rules and criteria of the Halala Joburg Awards programme, will be requested from the nominee.

A specific set of information is required from each nominee. We stress that there is a specific application form and set of criteria for each category and that it is important that the correct category allocation be established at the start of the process. These will be explained to the nominee and they will be required to provide both information and verifiable substantiating materials in order to meet the entry criteria and move to the next phase of the process.

As a nominator once you have completed this 'Trigger' form you have concluded your part in nominating the achievement of Johannesburger's that you feel are worthy of recognition.

We remind you that you are not only allowed, but are invited, to nominate your own projects, programmes, people and achievements and that the process will remain as described above.
