Why are they significant?
Supporting development greatness in Joburg
The Inner City of Joburg is open for business. An attractive market, it offers mass spending power and high demand. With an integrated transport infrastructure, impressive production levels and good return on investment, developers are increasingly selecting city sites for projects.
The Halala Joburg Awards recognise projects and people who have made an innovative, inventive and inspirational impact to the city centre built environment regeneration.
The objectives ?
- To claim and celebrate victories in contributing to the legacy of a rejuvenated inner city.
- To recognise and acknowledge the outstanding contribution and commitment to regeneration in the built environment, through relevant private and public sector projects.
- To encourage extraordinary effort in building sustainable and inclusive multi-sectoral regeneration projects, which recognise the role and relationship between both the private and public sectors.
- To foster partnerships, recognising boldness and encouraging maximum participation in rebuilding a reclaimed city.
