| Vilakazi Street |
|
Creative touches and infrastructure upgrades has turned Vilakazi Street into a proper tourist precinct. Once the home address for both Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu, the road was widened and paving added to make it more accessible to pedestrians. At the entrance to the street, visitors are greeted by eight hand statues, spelling out the word Vilakazi. Always a hive of activity the street has three restaurants, while a number of informal traders and entertainers ply their trade outside. |
