The third Halala Awards ceremony was held at Turbine Hall in Newtown on 12 May 2010.  The winners in the various categories were announced after a seminar organised by the JDA highlighted the impact of public and private sector on inner city regeneration over the past decade.  Speaking at the seminar were well-known property developer Gerald Olitzki and relative newcomer to the property scene, Isaac Chalumbira relating their experiences and challenges to the audience.  Presentations were also given by Graeme Gotz, Jozie Adler and Fanuel Motsepe, among others.
